Cabinet Painting on the Treasure Coast

A new kitchen for a fraction of a remodel — degreased, sanded, primed and finished smooth.

Cabinet painting is the highest-impact thing you can do to a kitchen without tearing it out. It is also the least forgiving, because every brush mark ends up at eye level.

Doors and drawer fronts come off and get labeled, everything gets degreased and scuff sanded, a bonding primer goes down, and the finish is laid on smooth so the hardware goes back to a kitchen that looks new.

What is included

  • Doors and drawer fronts removed and labeled
  • Full degreasing — kitchen grease is what makes finishes fail
  • Scuff sanding and bonding primer for adhesion
  • Smooth, hard-wearing cabinet-grade finish
  • Boxes, face frames and interiors as requested
  • Hardware removed and reinstalled or swapped to new
  • Counters, floors and appliances masked off

How the job runs

  1. 1

    Tear down

Doors, drawers and hardware come off and get labeled so every piece goes back exactly where it started.

  2. 2

    Clean and sand

Degrease, scuff sand and wipe down. Skip this and the paint peels at the first splatter.

  3. 3

    Prime

A bonding primer keyed to your cabinet material — slick factory finishes and raw wood need different products.

  4. 4

    Finish and rehang

Smooth coats, proper cure time, then everything goes back on and gets adjusted.

Common questions

How long is my kitchen out of use?

Plan on several days. You keep the counters and appliances the whole time — it is the doors and drawer fronts that are out while they cure.

Can you paint laminate or thermofoil cabinets?

Often yes, with the right bonding primer. We will look at what you have and tell you honestly whether it will hold up.

Will it hold up to daily use?

With proper degreasing, sanding, primer and a cabinet-grade finish, yes. The prep is what determines that, not the paint alone.
